It’s back…snow hits Iowa again

January 26, 2001 By admin

After several weeks without significant snowfall, much of Iowa is getting a white blanket this morning. Some towns — Bedford, Mount Ayr and Corning — all report four inches of new snow. National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Johnson says a Winter Weather advisory is in effect for much of western and southern Iowa. He says this morning’s snow isn’t the only trouble Iowa travelers will encounter today.Strong winds are expected to create trouble later today with drifting, blowing snow.
