Sioux City wins funds to help laid off Gateway workers

Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City has won a 20-thousand dollar grant to help laid-off Gateway computer employees. Gateway is laying off 600 people in the North Sioux City and surrounding areas. Western Tech’s Dennis Wolf is coordinating the effort to help the workers.He says the first move is to find out what help the workers need.Wolf says they can help the workers with several things, such as career counseling and resume writing.
