Grassley predicts Ashcroft nomination will be approved

Senator Chuck Grassley predicts embattled U-S Attorney General-nominee John Ashcroft -will- win the approval today of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That committee will then send the nomination on to the full Senate. Grassley says a lot of Democrats will vote against Ashcroft and a lot will vote for him.Grassley, a republican, says the former Missouri Senator should become the next Attorney General.The full Senate may take up debate on the nomination of Ashcroft later today but Grassley doesn’t expect a vote until as late as next week.
