The Ninth Annual Iowa Games Winter Sports Festival is underway in several cities today and tomorrow. Executive director Jim Hallihan says a few events have been added for a total of 13 sports, most of which are being played in the Mississippi River town of Dubuque.Hallihan says the winter games could not be contained just to Dubuque, so sports like adult hockey will be played today in Cedar Rapids. When the winter games were first held nine years ago, Hallihan says the events drew about 15-hundred people. This year, as many as 25-hundred athletes are expected.Events include: downhill and cross-country skiing, figure skating, snowboarding, table tennis, hockey, roller hockey, soccer, basketball and mall walking.
