Storm Lake police say they’ve broken up a ring of college students making fake I-D’s. Police seized computer components used to make the fake driver’s licenses and arrested six students last week at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. Storm Lake police call the investigation “Operation Impact.” Arrested in the investigation were 20-year-old Mark Muclure of Storm Lake, 19-year-old Gabriel Chamberlin of Center Point, 20-year-old Joshua Miller from Aspinwall, 20-year-old Melanie Schroeder from Coon Rapids, 19-year-old Christian Overgaard of Newell and 20-year-old Samuel Licktieg from Algona. Charges range from possession and manufacturing of false I-D’s to possession of alcohol.
