Davenport hit-and-run driver arrested in Texas

A Davenport truck driver has surrendered to authorities in Texas in connection with a fatal crash in Scott County. 40-year-old Allen Reed surrendered Sunday in Dallas after the December 26th crash that killed two people. Reed allegedly hit the rear end of a minivan with his semi-truck, then fled in another vehicle. A 60-year-old woman died in the crash and another van passenger who was pregnant was forced to terminate the pregnancy due to her injuries.
