Corallville volunteer accused of taking money

A Coralville woman who volunteered at a preschool is charged with first degree theft for embezzling nearly 11-thousand dollars from the child care program. Forty-four-year-old Katherine Thede-Reynolds is accused of embezzling from “Kirkwood Kares” before and after school program. It’s located at Kirkwood Elementary but is NOT run by the school district. Thede-Reynolds had been a volunteer treasurer for the program, and is accused of stealing money from September of 1997 ’til May of 2000.
