Mason City police says rape report was false

Mason City police have determined a Minnesota woman who claims she was abducted and raped made up the story. A receipt for a ring from a pawnshop helped determine the report by 30-year-old Kecia Delores Fulgate of St. Paul was a hoax. She told police she took a ride from a man Friday at the Willow Run Apartments and then she said the man drove her around for two days and sexually assaulted her, stealing her ring as well. Police do not know the whereabouts of Fulgate, but have assumed she went back to St. Paul. She faces a charge of making a false police report.
