cyclones ready for rematch with Tigers

February 10, 2001 By admin

The 14th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones look to maintain the Big-12 lead Sunday by hosting Missouri. The Tigers will be a different team from the one that edged the Cyclones in four overtimes in Columbia. Standout guard Kareem Rush is out for the year after thumb surgery on Wednesday, and second-leading scorer Clarence Gilbert was suspended this week and will not play against the Cyclones. Iowa State is coming off a victory at Kansas. Coach Larry Eustachy says the Cyclones have made strides as of late because they are cutting down on turnovers.
