Cyclone coach not worried about top ten ranking

February 13, 2001 By admin

Iowa State Coach Larry Eustachy says he is not concerned about where the Cyclones are ranked right now. Iowa State is coming off Sunday’s win over Missouri and Eustachy says his main concern right now is that they did not play well.Eustachy says the outcome of a game does not always dictate how his team played. He says he was happy with his team’s play after the first Missouri game that they lost. He says the team played in spurts and it’s not the time of year to play that way.A trait the Cyclones have shown, especially on the road is mental toughness. Eustachy says the coaches try to bring that out in practice. He says they try to create tough environments that make them tougher. Eustachy says games are won in practice, not during the games.
