The Iowa Senate’s Ethics Committee has dismissed a complaint filed against Senator Thurman Gaskill, a republican from Corwith who President Bush is considering for a top job in the U-S-D-A. Bill Farnham, Gaskill’s opponent in the last election, has a beef about a newspaper ad which said Farnham didn’t live in the district. Senate Ethics Chairman Dick Drake says Gaskill didn’t pay for the ad. It’s the second time the Senate Ethics Committee has dismissed a complaint from Farnham. Republicans AND democrats on the committee voted unanimously both times.
