More financial information available on politicians

Want to know the financial background of your legislator, or the Governor? That info’s now available to the public on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website.Secretary of State Chet Culver says the financial disclosure for legislators, the Governor, top state agency officials and other statewide elected officials is now required by law.It doesn’t list their annual income, but the website lists what state officials own, like stocks, securities, trusts, real estate and retirement accounts.To find out more, the website address is sos.state.ia.us
