February 15, 2001 By admin

Iowa Lottery officials say there was no winner in last night’s Powerball drawing, so the jackpot will rise to at least 80-million dollars for Saturday night’s drawing. Iowa Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer says there is good news about last night’s drawing for someone in Iowa.Six tickets matched five of the six Powerball numbers, good for 100-thousand dollars each. One of those tickets was sold in Iowa, at the Edgewood Handi Mart store in Cedar Rapids. Neubauer, who works at the Iowa Lottery’s Des Moines headquarters, says that winner has yet to come forward.Last night’s unclaimed jackpot was worth 70-million dollars.
