McDonald arches in 26 to give Drake an upset win

Drake snapped a four-game losing streak in impressive fashion with an 83-71 cruise past defending Missouri Valley champion Indiana State. Freshman Luke McDonald led the way for Drake with 26-points on eight of 12 shooting and says it was good to get a victory against a quality opponent.McDonald says they showed a lot of hear and character coming off of four losses to win.Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie said the Bulldogs got a big game from McDonald. Kanaskie says a day off may’ve left McDonald a little fresher.Kanaskie says it was a great win for his team, because they weren’t “playing chicken liver.”.
