Republicans ready to reveal their energy plan

Republicans in Congress will soon reveal their response to the energy crisis. Iowa Senator Charles Grassley has reviewed the package, but says there’s no price tag, yet.The G-O-P package will include tax credits for energy efficiency as well as the go-ahead for drilling in sensitive lands previously closed-off to oil exploration. Grassley says it’ll also encourage development of “alternative” energy sources.Grassley says the bill will include a tax credit for development of wind energy and would give Americans a tax credit for buying energy efficient appliances. Grassley made his comments during taping of Iowa Public Television’s “Iowa Press” show, which airs tomorrow.
