Dozens of hungry animals were removed from a central Iowa home Wednesday. The Boone County Humane Society and the Des Moines Animal Rescue got a search warrant and inspected the home near Boxholm. Some 59 dogs and cats were hauled away which needed food and care. The property owner may live in Des Moines. That person’s name was not released.
