Ellsworth man charged with murdering child

February 21, 2001 By admin

A north central Iowa man is jailed in the murder of his girlfriend’s young son. 31-year-old Ronald Aaron Klonglan of Ellsworth faces charges of felony child endangerment and first-degree murder in the death last August of 14-month-old Jack Michael Loder. Klonglan had been living with Loder’s mother. He claimed the child fell down a flight of stairs but it was determined later the boy’s fatal head injuries were not accidental.
