A Cedar Rapids high school has a new head football coach. Thirty-three-year-old Jim Womochil is the new football coach at Cedar Rapids Jefferson. He replaces Dave Jacobson who resigned after taking the Jayhawks to a Mississippi Valley conference divisional championship and a playoff berth. Womochil had been the head coach at Williamsburg where in 10 seasons he led the Raiders to three playoff appearances. Womochil is a 1990 grad of U-N-I where he played defensive back for the Panthers.
