Iowa and Drake men win

The Iowa Hawkeyes held off a Purdue rally to break a four-game losing streak last night in Iowa City with a 78-72 overtime win. Hawkeye Coach Steve Alford was pleased to see the losing skid end. Reggie Evans had 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead Iowa. Alford says his team found a way to win. The victory moves Iowa to 18-9 overall and 7-6 in the conference.The Drake Bulldogs won their second straight road game last night. Drake downed Southwest Missouri State 73-61 after leading by four at halftime. Andry Sola led Drake with 25, Luke McDonald had 20 and Joey Gaw 12. Drake is now one game below .500 at 12-13 overall and 8-8 in the conference.
