Des Moines-area residents may find themselves wrestling for tables at restaurants for the next few days. Tens of thousands of high school fans from across Iowa are in the Capitol City to watch the state wrestling tournament, which got underway this morning at Veterans Auditorium.David Feehan, president of the Downtown Community Alliance, says 70-to-80-thousand people will be in Des Moines for the matches on the mats, which feature 672 Iowa wrestlers.Feehan says the wrestling fans will be spending plenty of money while they’re in Des Moines.The championship matches begin at seven o’clock on Saturday night.
