Iowa State dropped from sixth to eighth in the USA Today/Coaches poll after a 94-78 loss this weekend to Texas. Cyclone Coach Larry Eustachy says the Texas loss was part of the price his team paid in going after its second straight conference title.Eustachy says he’s not sure how to keep the team sharp as the long season comes to an end.He says they won’t back off the effort to win the conference, even though it can wear the team down. The loss kept the Cyclones from clinching at least a tie for the Big 12 conference title. They still hold a one game lead in the conference at 11-3. They host Texas Tech on Wednesday.
