A new survey from Creighton University provides more evidence the economy’s slipping. Creighton economics professor Ernie Goss conducts the “Mid-American Business Conditions Survey.” Business leaders tell Goss the economy’s slowing down dramatically in Iowa and eight other Midwestern states. Goss says in some sectors of the economy, things have dipped below zero. Goss says Iowa has enjoyed a good run the past couple of years, but the survey shows the state’s economy is “weak.” He says the record also shows a decline in employment. Goss surveys business leaders in Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma and South Dakota.
