Iowa lost at home last night to Penn State, 78-73. Iowa led by eight mid-way through the second half, but then Penn State went on a 16-point scoring binge and Iowa was never able to overcome it. Iowa coach Steve Alford says his team missed too many free throws, and too many lay ups.Alford says neither team could get things going offensively in the first half. Iowa faces Wisconsin on Saturday. Alford says the stakes are high.
