Iowans will feature prominently in an international television show airing on Iowa Public T-V tonight. The episode of “The Red Green Show” was shot in Toronto, Canada, in September. Four chartered buses of Iowans went to see the show created and got a big surprise when they arrived, the producers had written speaking parts for the show.I-P-T-V communications manager Carlyn Crowe says the show which focuses on the nutty inhabitants of the fictional Possum Lodge has become very big among Iowans.The title character is known for his bizarre inventions and for being able to use duct tape to repair virtually all of life’s problems. Crowe says Red Green and his cast of goofy neighbors have found their way into the weekly viewing schedules of many thousands of Iowans.Tonight’s “Iowa episode” is called “Twinning” and airs at 10 o’clock.
