Illinois murder suspect arrested in Davenport

A man wanted on a murder charge in Illinois was arrested in Davenport this weekend after a desperate attempt to get away from police. 40-year old Lanel Jackson allegedly knocked stole a bike from a man riding on an overpass along Interstate 80. Police say Jackson then climbed down off the overpass and broke the window of a car driven by a 16-year old girl. Police say Jackson pushed the girl aside and tried to get away in the car before he was captured. Jackson is wanted in Cook County, Illinois on a murder charge.
