College students protest at Statehouse

A group of college students are at the statehouse today, asking for laws that clean-up Iowa’s waterways and stop urban sprawl.Twenty-two-year-old Trinity Zan of Cedar Falls, a senior at Grinnell College, says Iowa politicians have ignored Iowa’s polluted waterways for far too long.Zan says young adults care about the environment.Members of “Iowa Students Towards Environmental Protection” gathered on the statehouse steps this morning before their daylong lobbying effort. Students from Drake, Grinnell, Iowa State University and Coe participated in today’s event.
