UNI women ready for first post-season appearance

March 12, 2001 By admin

The University of Northern Iowa women’s basketball team will make its first-ever post-season appearance Friday in the National Invitation Tournament. U-N-I Coach Tony Dicecco says it’s been something he’s worked for since taking over six years ago. He says it’s hard to describe what this means to the U-N-I program. U-N-I will play DePaul Friday night. U-N-I enters the W-N-I-T with an 18-10 record.
