ISU pounds Howard in NCAAs

It was a mismatch in Ames last night as the Iowa State women opened the N-C-A-A Midwest regional with a 100-61 victory over Howard. Iowa State jumped out to a 30-point lead at the break and 11 Cyclones scored in the contest.Iowa State coach Bill Fennelly says it was nice to play a lot of people and see the bench play well. The Cyclones will play Florida State in Sunday’s second round. Fennelly says the Seminoles are the best team to come into Hilton Coliseum this year, without question.
