A scheduled trial of a Lost Nation man next month in Clinton County District Court will not be held.Clinton County Attorney Mike Wolf announced Friday that Tony Curtis pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the May 13, 1998 death of Donald G. Davidson in his Clinton apartment. Sentencing will be March 28th. Curtis faces a 10-year prison term without the possibility of probation. He also faces a fine between one thousand and ten thousand dollars. The plea to voluntary manslaughter was offered after consultation with the Clinton Police Department, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. Earlier this week, a Clinton County jury found his brother and co-defendant, James S. Curtis, guilty of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with Davidson’s death. James Curtis will be sentenced on Thursday, March 29th in Clinton County District Court.
