Small school boy’s basketball titles decided

At the boys’ state tournament, Pomeroy-Palmer claimed the class 1A championship with a 61-49 win over Boyden-Hull. Nick Ford led the Knights with 20-points and says a quick start helped.Ford calls winning the title one of the greatest moments of his life.Danville’s improbable run has ended with a championship. The Bears got 21 points from Jake Wenig to down Ackley-Geneva/Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock 60-43 in the 2A title game.Wenig says they peaked at the right time to win the championship.
