Iowan faces extradition from Georgia

An eastern Iowa man is the subject of an extradition hearing. 21-year-old Michael Schepers of Monticello is being returned to Iowa from Georgia. Schepers is charged with providing alcohol to 18-year-old Zachary Kramer of Tipton who died after a night of drinking. Kramer fell 15 feet to his death from an apartment complex fire escape last November. Schepers also is accused of giving four other minors alcohol the same night. Schepers had left Iowa for military service and has been stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
