Tough conference helps ISU women

It was ranked as the third best women’s conference this season but the Big-12 has had a monster run in the N-C-A-A tournament. Four Big-12 schools are in the Sweet-16, including Iowa State, which plays Vanderbilt on Saturday in the Midwest regional semifinals in Denver.Cyclone coach Bill Fennelly, says playing in a tough conference has helped the Cyclones in the tournament.Fennelly says a strong conference schedule helps when a team plays two games in three days, like the N-C-A-A tournament. Iowa State plays Saturday night.
