Iowa star says he’s staying

Iowa forward Reggie Evans says he will stay for his senior season. Evans was one of the top rebounders in the country and was named the M-V-P in leading the Hawkeyes to the Big Ten tournament championship. Evans was not considered a possible lottery pick but says he wanted to end any speculation. Evans says he wants to be the first one is his family to get a college education. Iowa coach Steve Alford says Evans talked to him and his junior college and high school coaches about his future. Alford says everyone has told Evans about the importance of getting an education.Alford says by staying another year, Evans could become a top-15 pick in the N-B-A draft.
