The Scott County Attorney’s Office has decided not to prosecute a Davenport teen who allegedly made threats against his high school. 15-year-old Tyler Stoakes was charged with terrorism a few weeks ago, allegedly saying he’d bring a gun to Assumption High School and shoot everyone. Scott County Attorney Bill Davis says he’s dropped the terrorism charge, as he believes Stoakes had no “evil intent.” Stoakes is undergoing psychiatric treatment in the Quad City area and he’ll soon be transferred to a new setting in central Iowa for more treatment.
