Morningside finds new women’s basketball coach

Morningside College went across town to find a new women’s basketball coach. The Mustangs hired Jamie Sale, who posted a 78-20 mark in three years at Briar Cliff. Morningside athletic director Jerry Schmutte says he was looking for an experienced coach.Schmutte says in the wake of the controversy over Morningside dropping from division two to the N-A-I-A ranks, the announcement is a boost for the athletic department.Sale led Briar Cliff to the semifinal round of the N-A-I-A national tournament this past season.
