Two eastern Iowa men facing jail time

A 21-year-old eastern Iowa man has been given a life sentence in connection with the murder of a Clinton man. James Curtis of Lost Nation was sentenced Thursday after being convicted in the 1998 slaying and robbery of Donald Davidson in his Clinton apartment. Curtis’ 29-year-old brother, Tony, also of Lost Nation, was sentenced to ten years in prison Wednesday on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.A jury Thursday found a Clinton man guilty of attempted murder and willful injury of another Clinton man.52-year-old Albert Elliot got in an argument with 30-year-old George Davis in front of a Clinton convenience store last year, then allegedly ran Davis down with his car.
