Senior PGA returns to Iowa

April 2, 2001 By admin

The Senior P-G-A Tour returns to Des Moines in September and tickets for the event go on sale beginning this morning. The inaugural Allianz Championship will be held September third through the ninth at Glen Oaks Country Club and assistant tournament director Jeff Starr says the success of the 1999 U-S Senior Open in Des Moines is one of the reasons.Starr says fewer tickets will be available for this event as there is less room to accommodate people. He says they’ll have 25-thousand tickets, half the number of the last tourney.
