April 4, 2001 By admin

A proposed new policy to crack down on alcohol sales in Iowa City is headed toward reality.Despite protests, the city council approved the restrictions last night, but the ordinance has to be okayed in two more readings before taking effect July first. The ordinance limits the number of drinks a person can buy at one time, clarifies the sale of pitchers and bans two-for-one and all-you-can-drink specials.
