A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire that heavily damaged a home in northeast Iowa. The fire started yesterday morning at the John Bakula home four miles west of Fort Atkinson. Firefighters believe lightening hit a t-v antenna and traveled into the roof of the home. It took firefighters three hours to put the fire out. There was fire damage to the attic and an upstairs bedroom, and smoke damage throughout the home. No one was injured.
