Iowa coach pleased with Spring drills

The Iowa football team closes out spring drills this weekend with an intrasquad game. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says improved depth has been evident this spring. He says the competition has been good for all positions, which makes for better practices.Ferentz says his team continues to make strides. He says they appear to be more physical than in past springs.Ferentz says the quarterback position remains up for grabs between Kyle McCann, Jon Buetjer and junior college transfer Brad Banks.
