Retired military man Leonard Boswell, Iowa’s Third District Congressman, says he’s “thrilled” to hear China’s releasing the crew of the spy plane that emergency landed in China April 1st. Boswell flew helicopter rescue missions in Vietnam, and he says situation in China “weighed-heavily” on his mind. Boswell held a news conference at the statehouse this morning to say it’s time to “hold off” on the tax cut package that’s making its way through Congress. He says a number of states have fiscal problems and is afraid that it will become a national problem too early. Boswell is a democrat from Davis City.
