Authorities are looking into the possibility Iowa fugitive Anthony Zappa may have been involved in the 1995 disappearance of Mason City television anchorwoman Jodi Huisentruit. A Mason City police investigator says it’s too early to jump to any conclusions. Captain Mike Halverson says they had some interest after a Kearney, Nebraska, girl was allegedly abducted by Zappa last Friday. Halverson says it’s still too early to even make any connections between Zappa and Huisentruit. Halverson says authorities need to find out more about what Zappa was doing in 1995 before carrying on the investigation. The 29-year-old Zappa lives in Minnesota, but has two cousins who live in Charles City, Iowa, some 30 miles east of Mason City in Floyd County. The cousins say Zappa frequently stayed with them. Zappa is wanted on numerous charges in Floyd County as well as four other states.
