Davenport has eased its ordinance regulating adult businesses. The ordinance used to require a 100-dollar fee and F-B-I background check for anyone seeking a license to work in a sex-related adult business in Davenport. That’s been scaled back to just a five-dollar fee and a check to see if the person has any convictions in Scott County. City Attorney Brian Higher says the ordinance still has plenty of teeth. The ordinance still raises the minimum age for workers in adult businesses from 18 to 21.
