Central and Wartburg meet in softball

April 14, 2001 By admin

The top two teams in the Iowa Conference softball race hook up today in a doubleheader in Waverly as Wartburg hosts Central. Central is fourth-ranked nationally and 4-0 in the league race, while Wartburg is 6-0 in conference play. Wartburg coach Randy Schneider says he has a lot of respect for the Central program and coach George Wares. Schneider says the Knights are trying not to put too much emphasis on this matchup, but he says his team has a big challenge.
