Officials with the Quad City Riverbandits baseball club are searching for a temporary home in light of the rising Mississippi River. The team was ordered out of John O’Donnell stadium yesterday and club president Kevin Krause says when they can return will depend on how high the water gets and how long it stays. He says a third factor is also possible storm weather coming from the north. Krause says at this point the stadium is not flooded. Krause says if the worst of the damage is just seepage it won’t take long to get the field back in shape. The Riverbandits are looking at Black Hawk community College in Moline and Clinton as temporary homes and while it is tough for business, Krause says it’s better this happens now than later. The Riverbandits begin their next homestand on Friday night.
