Iowa has chance to gain ground in softball race

The Iowa softball team faces a key weekend in the Big Ten race. The Hawkeyes visit Michigan State for a twinbill on Friday before visiting Michigan for a pair of games over the weekend. The Wolverines lead the second place Hawkeyes by two games in the conference standings. Iowa coach Gayle Blevins says her team cannot afford to get too caught up in the title chase as they need to focus on what they do best..Iowa swept four league games last weekend and stand 11-3 in the conference.Blevins says the Hawkeyes need to concentrate on Michigan State before worrying about Michigan.
