Customers of Alliant Energy are again being asked to conserve electricity as temperatures soar into the 90s today. Alliant spokesman Dan Presser says some plants are down for maintenance, making less electricity available. He says the high temperatures have increase the demand for electricity at the same time the plants are down, creating a need to conserve. He says they also had trouble getting electricity in from outside the state.Presser says there are some simple things you can do to conserve energy, such as turning off the things you don’t really need on.He says if you use your air conditioner, keep it a little warmer than you normally would.Presser says you can find more energy saving tips at www.powerhousetv.com.
