It’s been more than three decades since this eastern Iowa town saw a new top school official. Forty-five-year-old Tom Parker was okayed Monday night as the new school superintendent for the Camanche Community Schools. Parker’s the former principal of Pleasant Valley High School. He replaces Larry Dennis, who is retiring after 31 years in the position.
