Iowa coach looks forward to boost from tourney appearance

Iowa softball coach Gayle Blevins says the future looks bright for her program. The Hawkeyes wrapped up their season last week at the College World Series in Oklahoma City, their fourth trip to the series since 1995.Blevins says there won’t be a need to rebuild before next season, as the return a huge nucleus of players with experience.Blevins says the kind of success the program has enjoyed is a plus on the recruiting trail. She says recruits like to see a team on TV and in the World Series.Blevins says the Hawkeyes are much closer to making a realistic run at the national title.
