Woman killed two children hurt in accident

June 19, 2001 By admin

A southwest Iowa mother was killed and her two children were hurt in a head-on crash Monday. 23-year-old Janiece Allen of Albia died in the wreck. Her children, 3-year-old Zachery Price and 4-year-old Dalton Price, were taken to a Des Moines hospital. Zachery is in serious condition while Dalton is in critical condition. State troopers say David Thomas of Albia was trying to pass another car Monday afternoon near Albia when he hit the Allen vehicle head-on. Thomas wasn’t seriously hurt. No charges have been filed but the wreck is still under investigation.
